Nonprofit post-merger identification: Network size, relational heterogeneity, and perceived integration effectiveness

This paper incorporates insights from organizational identity and identification, social network research post-merger integration to explore factors influencing employees' identification with a merged nonprofit organization. We propose that the organization is associated their size, relational heterogeneity, perceived effectiveness of processes. Empirical results suggest employees larger mentoring socioemotional support networks exhibit strong identification. Relational heterogeneity within workflow has an inverted U-shape relationship Employees' processes significantly influences sense new Implications for better managing are discussed.
